Is the entry of a black snake with yellow stripes, 1.25 meters long, into a house considered a warning or an alarm from Allah Almighty, or is it an indication of good or bad news, or is it merely fate and divine decree?
It is not possible to determine the reason for a snake entering the house. The following is recommended: fearing Allah and observing the obligatory duties and remembrances (adhkar), and reciting some of the Qur’an, especially Surah Al-Baqarah, for some snakes might be from the jinn, as confirmed by the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, who said: "Do not make your houses graves, for indeed, a house in which Surah Al-Baqarah is recited will not be entered by Satan," and his saying: "Indeed, vermin are from the jinn. So whoever sees something in his house, let him warn it three times. If it returns, let him kill it, for it is a devil." The cure for fear is steadfastness in obedience, reliance on Allah, and adherence to remembrances and supplications.
