Is it permissible for me to assist and accompany my husband's mother during Tawaf while I am menstruating?

The majority of jurists hold that it is impermissible for a menstruating woman to remain in the mosque. They base this on the حديث (Hadith) of Umm Atiyah regarding menstruating women abstaining from the Eid prayer ground, and on the fact that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, ordered Aisha to hand him something from the mosque when she said, "I am menstruating," to which he replied, "Your menstruation is not in your hand." This indicates the established impermissibility of her entering the mosque.

As for a menstruating woman passing through the mosque, it is permissible according to the majority of jurists in cases of necessity and provided there is no risk of defiling the mosque. However, the Hanafis and Malikis hold that her entering the mosque is absolutely forbidden, whether for staying or passing through.

There is another opinion that permits a menstruating woman to remain in the mosque, which is the view of Dawud al-Zahiri and Ibn Hazm, who argue that there is no explicit evidence for prohibition.

Based on this, it is not permissible for you to enter the mosque to assist your mother-in-law with her circumambulation (Tawaf). Your husband or another person can assist her, and you should wait for her outside the mosque.
