Is the temporary marriage that took place between the two parties actually a legitimate marriage?

There is no temporary marriage in Sharia, and whoever performs it is subject to the penalty for zina (unlawful sexual intercourse). The people of innovation (Ahl al-Bid'ah) consider mut'ah (temporary) marriage valid, but it has been abrogated. It is obligatory to beware of them and follow the truth.
