What is the ruling on abortion in this case, given the presence of five children and the inability to care for a new child?

The preferred view is that it is forbidden to abort the fetus before the ensoulment. It is advisable to seek Allah's help, be patient, and abandon thoughts of abortion, for Allah might bless this fetus. Refraining from abortion at this advanced stage of the fetus's development is more cautious, absolves one's responsibility, and avoids juristic disagreement. If there is a dire need to adopt the view of those who permit abortion before forty days, then there is no harm, as some scholars have allowed taking concessions when needed to avert hardship.
