It is not permissible for a Muslim woman to seek medical treatment from a man unless there is no woman capable of providing the treatment, or if she fears perishing or harm. In such cases, it is permissible for a man to treat her by touching and looking at only what is necessary, provided there is no seclusion with him. Therefore, it is not permissible to follow up a pregnancy with a male doctor unless there is no female doctor who can fulfill the purpose.
