What duties must a Muslim perform to attain God's pleasure?

To elaborate on what Allah has made obligatory in belief and action, you must seek religious knowledge. You should learn the six pillars of faith and fulfill the five pillars of Islam: the two testimonies of faith, establishing prayer with its conditions, pillars, and obligations, giving zakat if you possess the nisab, fasting Ramadan, and performing Hajj if you are able. You must also honor your parents, maintain kinship ties, and adopt obligatory virtues like truthfulness and trustworthiness. Furthermore, you must protect your limbs from what Allah has forbidden, such as lowering your gaze, safeguarding your hearing, preserving your tongue, and guarding your private parts. You should also attend to the obligatory acts of the heart, such as love, fear, hope, and sincerity towards Allah, and avoid innovations (bid'ah).
