The question

Can all the daily actions of a Muslim, including permissible ones such as sleeping, playing, and recreation, be considered worship and obedience to Allah if he intends thereby the Face of Allah, or is obedience restricted to obligatory duties and specified acts of worship? And will a Muslim be rewarded for these actions if they do not distract him from his obligations?

The answer

A Muslim can transform their movements and stillness into acts of obedience and nearness to Allah by having a sincere intention in everything. A Muslim should be moderate in matters of their religion and worldly life, neither being excessive nor negligent. There is no harm in establishing a forum for da'wah (calling to Islam) and teaching people, but obedience to one's mother takes precedence over supererogatory acts of worship. What was mentioned about sleeping through prayer due to football or a midday nap is a type of waswas (whispers/obsessive thoughts), and the matter is easy and manageable. If you play football, do not exert yourself to the point of missing prayer. If you take a midday nap, use an alarm. If sleep overtakes you unintentionally, there is no blame upon you.
