Is it permissible for a young man working in a metal door showroom in Saudi Arabia to sell original brass handles to customers in agreement with a colleague, without the employer's knowledge of the details of this sale, knowing that the employer is not harmed by it and the young man aims to increase his income?

The private employee, such as a factory worker, has his benefits during the hire period owned by the hirer. It is not permissible for him to forgo these benefits by working for another. If he does so and harms the hirer, the hirer may demand compensation for the lost benefit or the wage the employee earned from others.

Accordingly, there is no objection for the worker to sell handles for himself without the factory owner's knowledge, if that does not cause the hirer to lose benefits and does not harm him, and under two conditions: First, the worker must not abandon his work to obtain the handles, and second, the factory owner must not be selling these handles in his factory.
