Is it permissible for an employee to bring his wife and child to stay with him in the double hotel room booked for him by the company, provided that he pays for the extra breakfast meal from his own money, knowing that this will not incur any additional costs for the company?

If the company allows the employee to house his wife with him in the room designated for him, then there is no objection. Otherwise, it is not permissible, because the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Muslims are bound by their conditions." It is feared that the company might prohibit this due to the employee's preoccupation with his family, so it is necessary to ascertain the company's regulations. The Permanent Committee has issued a fatwa (definition) stating that it is not permissible for an employee to rent out the accommodation designated for him to others if the company's regulations prohibit it.
