What is the ruling regarding the blood that flowed from my deceased mother, who was elderly and had ceased menstruating a long time ago, and it continued to flow until her death? And is she sinful for having abandoned prayer due to this blood?

It is permissible for a woman to remove excess hair from her body in all areas where abnormal hair growth appears. This is for the sake of cleanliness and adornment for her husband, and not as a means of altering creation.

Jurists have stipulated the permissibility for a woman to remove facial hair if its growth is beyond what is normal and is considered a blemish. In this case, it is permissible for her to remove it. However, if hair growth is natural, it is not permissible for her to remove it from her face, as it falls under the prohibited alteration of Allah's creation.

It is permissible for her to remove it because it is considered a blemish, and it falls under the category of removing blemishes and adorning oneself for the husband. As for eyebrow hair, it is not permissible for a woman to remove or thin it, as it falls under the prohibited namṣ (plucking), which is an alteration of Allah's creation. Hair on the arms and legs is considered part of a woman's apparent adornment, and there is no harm in her removing it or leaving it, according to her desire and the need for adornment.

In summary, removing excess hair from a woman's body is permissible, especially if its growth is abnormal or dense, with the intention of adornment and beautification for her husband, while avoiding what has been forbidden, such as plucking eyebrows. And Allah knows best.
