What is the interpretation of the recurring dream of the questioner about future events that later come to pass, and does it indicate "possession" (tasleeth) as he was told, and does seeing someone helping him in the form of a devil mean that Satan is trying to prevent him from helping people, and is it permissible to speak about such dreams?

A good dream is from Allah, and a bad dream is from Satan. So whoever sees a dream that he dislikes, let him spit lightly to his left three times and seek refuge with Allah from Satan, and not tell anyone about it. If he sees a good dream, let him rejoice in it and only tell those he loves. Allah Almighty reveals some of the unseen to some people through dreams. Satan's dominion is manifested by casting whispers, disturbing dreams, beautifying sins, touching (possession), and magic. The dominion of evil spirits is mostly due to a lack of religiosity and corrupted hearts. Seeing a person in the form of a devil might be the work of Satan. It is advised to maintain the remembrance of Allah before sleep, especially Ayat al-Kursi, and the morning and evening remembrances, and to sleep with ablution while reciting the concluding verses of Surat al-Baqarah and the Mu'awwidhat (Surahs Al-Falaq and An-Nas), and to increase in acts of obedience, remembrance of Allah, and recitation of the Qur'an, and to remove evils from the home and keep away from what angers Allah. If the dream is disliked, he should not tell anyone about it, and if it is good, he should only tell those he loves.
