Are what a person sees in their dream and later comes true visions from Allah or from Shaytan, especially if they are irregular in prayer?

A truthful dream may be seen by a disobedient person or an infidel, like the dreams of the two prisoners and the king in Surat Yusuf. As for satanic dreams, they are often about things that sadden a person.

It was mentioned in the Hadith that a righteous dream is glad tidings for the believer and is part of prophethood, so whoever sees it should relate it. As for a bad dream, it is from Satan to grieve the dreamer, so he should spit lightly to his left three times and remain silent and not tell anyone about it.

If any of you sees a dream he loves, it is from Allah, so let him praise Allah for it and speak of it. And if he sees what he dislikes, it is from Satan, so let him seek refuge from its evil and not mention it to anyone, for it will not harm him.

When time draws near, the dream of a Muslim will hardly ever prove false, and the most truthful in dream are those most truthful in speech. A dream is of three types: a righteous dream, which is glad tidings from Allah; a dream that causes grief, which is from Satan; and a dream of what a person talks to himself about. So if any of you sees what he dislikes, let him stand up and pray, and not tell people about it.

We warn against negligence in prayer and neglecting it; for abandoning it is one of the greatest sins and arrogance, and the sin of one who abandons it is greater than the sin of murder, adultery, theft, and drinking alcohol. So whoever takes prayer lightly takes Islam lightly, and the value of Islam in your heart is like the value of prayer in your heart.
