What is the ruling regarding a husband who gets angry over trivial matters, refuses discussion, and persists in his stubbornness despite his wife's continuous attempts to calm and appease him?

Spouses have mutual rights and duties, and this is a foundation for marital tranquility and happiness. The most important rights of a wife are to be honored, to be treated kindly, and to be given what pleases her. Allah Almighty says: "And live with them in kindness." And the most complete in faith among believers are those with the best character, and the best of them are those best to their women. Honoring a woman is a sign of generosity, and insulting her is a sign of baseness. We advise the wife to be patient with her husband and to remind him of her rights gently, and we ask Allah to guide both of them.
