Has a hadith been narrated with the wording "القابض على دينه كالقابض على الجمر" (the one who grasps firmly to his religion is like the one who grasps a burning coal) instead of "الصابر على دينه كالقابض على الجمر" (the one who is patient in his religion is like the one who grasps a burning coal)?

There is no hadith with the wording "clinging to his religion" (القابض على دينه), but it has appeared in the statements of some commentators. It is narrated in Musnad Ahmad from Abu Hurayrah that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Woe to the Arabs from an evil that has drawn near, tribulations like slices of dark night. A man will wake up as a believer and go to sleep as a disbeliever. A people will sell their religion for a small worldly gain. The one who holds fast to his religion on that day will be like one who grasps a burning coal," or he said, "thorns." In a narration by al-Tirmidhi: "A time will come upon people when the one who is patient in his religion among them will be like one who grasps a burning coal."
