Are lions and predatory animals considered ritually impure (najis) for eating carrion?

"Al-Jalalah" refers to an animal whose meat is permissible to eat but which consumes impurities, such as camels, cattle, sheep, and chickens. These are animals that exclusively eat dung and impurities. However, if their food is mixed, they are not considered "Jalalah." It is also said that a "Jalalah" is an animal whose diet consists predominantly of impurities. The majority of scholars deem it disliked to eat them (tanzihan), while the Hanbalis prohibit it, and the Malikis permit it. As for predatory animals that consume carrion, eating their meat is forbidden, based on the Prophet's (peace be upon him) prohibition of eating "every carnivorous animal with fangs and every bird with talons." What is meant by "carnivorous animal with fangs" is one that attacks people and their property with its fangs, such as lions, tigers, leopards, and wolves.
