Is it permissible to eat peacock meat if it is slaughtered according to Islamic law?

It is permissible to eat peacock meat because the basic principle regarding it is permissibility, in accordance with His — the Almighty's — saying: "He it is Who created for you all that is on earth." Also, it is not included in what is forbidden in the Hadith: "The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, forbade all predatory animals with fangs and all birds with talons," and it does not cause harm.
