What is the preponderant opinion concerning one who takes off his khuff (leather socks) after having wiped over them and before the expiration of the period for wiping, and does taking off the khuff invalidate wudu according to the Hanafis?

If a Muslim removes his leather socks (khuff) according to the Hanafis, only the ablution of his feet becomes invalid, and he is required to wash them without needing to re-wash the rest of thewudu' organs, because continuity (muwalat) is not a condition for wudu'.
