What is the ruling on saying, "By divorce, if nightfall overtakes you in the apartment, then you are divorced; and if you enter the house behind my back, then you are divorced by thirty," in a state of extreme anger? And what is the ruling on the wife returning home without permission after three days of her departure? And what is the meaning of "divorced by thirty"?

"Excessive swearing by divorce is a mockery of Allah's rulings and a transgression of His limits. Therefore, a Muslim must repent to Allah, seek His forgiveness, and abstain from oaths of divorce.

As for the occurrence of divorce: if the questioner conditioned his wife's divorce upon her returning home without his permission, and she did return, then a triple divorce has occurred according to the majority of scholars, and she becomes unlawful for him until she marries another husband. However, if he conditioned her divorce upon her remaining in the apartment until sunset, and she left before sunset, then nothing is incumbent upon him due to the absence of a breach of the condition."
