The answer

If someone performing Hajj at-Tamattu' (combining 'Umrah and Hajj) enters into ihram for 'Umrah, they must offer a sacrifice (hady). If they cannot find one, they must fast three days during Hajj and seven days when they return to their family. Fasting the three days between entering ihram for Hajj and the Day of 'Arafah is recommended. It is permissible to fast them from the time of entering ihram for 'Umrah or after exiting ihram from it. There is no requirement for these fasts to be consecutive.
