Is it obligatory to perform ghusl for janabah during menstruation, and does reading the Quran in this state invalidate the completion (khatmah) or require re-reading what was recited?

A menstruating woman is not required to perform ghusl (ritual bath) for janabah (state of ritual impurity requiring ghusl) according to the majority of scholars. However, according to the Hanbalis, it is permissible and even recommended for a menstruating woman to perform ghusl for janabah during her menstruation. Furthermore, a menstruating woman is not permitted to recite the Qur'an according to the majority of scholars. Nevertheless, the Malikis permit her to recite, even if she is in a state of janabah, and it is permissible to adopt this view. She will be rewarded for her recitation even if it is considered impermissible by some scholars. Completing the recitation of the entire Qur'an is recommended, not obligatory.
