Are books on dream interpretation, such as Ibn Sirin's, accurate? Is kohl (antimony) in the eyes forbidden or disliked (makruh)? Is removing excess hair from the eyebrows without plucking (namṣ) or changing their shape forbidden?

It is stated in al-Fawakih al-Dawani that interpreting dreams by consulting books is unlawful, because dreams differ according to individuals, circumstances, and times, and the science of dream interpretation is complex, requiring knowledge of various correlations. It is commendable for both men and women to use kohl, but a woman should not go out with it to public places where foreign men can see her. Similarly, there is no harm in removing hair from the eyebrow if it disfigures or mars one's appearance.
