For how long must a wife remain with her infertile husband before seeking a Khulʿ?

Death is the end of worldly life, and the Day of Judgment is the Day of Reckoning. The Qur'an and Sunnah affirm that humans will be resurrected on the Day of Judgment with the same body they had in this world, but it may change for the better or worse depending on their deeds. This is confirmed by Qur'anic verses such as Allah's saying: "Does man think that We will not assemble his bones? Yes, [We are] able to reassemble his fingertips." In Sahih Muslim, Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) narrated that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "People will be gathered on the Day of Judgment barefoot, unclothed, and uncircumcised." Aishah asked: "O Messenger of Allah, will men and women look at each other?" He said: "The matter will be too severe for them to look at each other." This confirms that bodies will exist, but their state will differ.

There are also other hadiths that indicate some changes that will affect some people on the Day of Judgment, such as being gathered on their faces, or being gathered blind, mute, and deaf. This indicates that the bodies are the same, but they will be afflicted with what reflects their state in this world.
