Is it permissible to use a milk mask to clear the complexion?

The default ruling is the permissibility of using milk or other respected substances for skin purification, as long as it does not involve extravagance or disrespect. It is preferable to use creams specifically designated for this purpose, out of preservation of the blessing. Sheikh Ibn 'Uthaymeen permitted the use of eggs, honey, and milk for treatment, citing the verse: "It is He who created for you all that is on earth," indicating that using other materials for beautification is more appropriate, and that extravagance in beautification is not desirable.
