Should one stop feeding birds due to fear of avian influenza transmission, or continue and rely on God?

Feeding birds and giving them water is a righteous act for which you will be rewarded, based on the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "In every wet liver there is a reward," and "There is no Muslim who plants a tree or cultivates a crop, from which a bird, a human, or an animal eats, but it will be charity for him." However, if you fear the transmission of diseases or harm from them, especially near the kitchen or the house, then food should not be offered to them, because preserving human health is obligatory, and the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "There should be no harm nor reciprocating harm."
