Could you please provide a translation of the Companion Abu Hurayrah, may Allah be pleased with him?

Abu Hurairah is the venerable Companion Abd al-Rahman ibn Sakhr al-Dawsi al-Yamani. He embraced Islam and emigrated in the sixth year of the Hijra. He was given the kunya (agnomen) of Abu Hurairah (father of a kitten) because he had a kitten he used to play with. He was one of the Companions who memorized the most Prophetic hadiths. He explained the reason for his extensive memorization by stating that the Muhajirun and Ansar were preoccupied with their trade and wealth, while he remained in the company of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, attending when they were absent and remembering when they forgot. Furthermore, the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, supplicated for him that he would never forget anything he heard from him. He served as the governor of Bahrain during the reign of Umar ibn al-Khattab, and during the caliphate of Mu'awiyah, he was the deputy of Marwan ibn al-Hakam in governing Medina. He passed away, may Allah be pleased with him, in the year sixty AH or one year prior to it.
