What is the way to get rid of the addiction to masturbation and pornographic websites, to treat the resulting memory weakness, and to restore humility in prayer, and the determination and perseverance to repent and feel remorse, especially with its practice during the daytime in Ramadan, and is expiation obligatory along with making up for the days of breaking fast due to masturbation?

There is no hopeless case, for the door of repentance is open. One must immediately repent from the sin and from all sins, such as abandoning prayer. It is recommended to associate with righteous people, adhere to remembrance (dhikr) and supplication (du'a), and occupy oneself with what benefits one in matters of religion and worldly life. One can also consult a specialized doctor or the counseling department. As for the days on which one broke the fast, they must only be made up (qada') without expiation (kaffarah), because expiation is only obligatory for breaking the fast through intercourse.
