What is the religious ruling on artificial insemination of rabbits by placing an artificial vagina for the male to obtain sperm and injecting it into the female after giving her a hormone for ovulation? And what is the ruling on placing each rabbit in a cage with an area of 0.4 square meters?

The fundamental ruling regarding the crossbreeding of rabbits is permissibility, due to the generality of the Quranic verses which indicate that Allah created and subjected what is on Earth for the service of humankind. However, if it is medically proven that these crossbreeding operations cause harm to the rabbits, or to the resulting lineage, or to the human who consumes them, then it is not permissible, based on the saying of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him: "There should be neither harming nor reciprocating harm." There is no objection to placing a rabbit in a cage if it does not cause it harm.
