How can arrogance and conceit within the Islamic movement be addressed?

The cure for arrogance and conceit lies in remembering several matters: First: Remembering the greatness of Allah Almighty, and that majesty is His attribute, so whoever contends with Him in these will be cast into the Fire. Second: Man remembering his origin and weakness. Allah Almighty said: "He created man from a sperm-drop; then behold, he is an open disputer." Third: Remembering the consequences of arrogance and conceit, for whoever has an atom's weight of pride in his heart will not enter Paradise. Fourth: Arrogance is a cause of defeat and failure. Allah Almighty said: "And do not be like those who left their homes in arrogance and to show off to people." Fifth: Humility is a cause of honor, elevation, and leadership, for no one humbles himself for the sake of Allah except that Allah raises him.
