Al-Hafiz said in Al-Fath: "The meaning is that Eve accepted what Iblis beautified for her, and then she beautified it for Adam. And since she is the mother of the daughters of Adam, they resembled her. So, the 'betrayal' here is her inclination towards the desires of the self, eating from the tree, and beautifying it for Adam, and it does not refer to committing immoral acts."
As for the type of tree, there is no evidence for it in the Quran or . Ibn Kathir mentioned that the correct view is that Allah forbade them from a specific tree, but we have no knowledge of its designation.
