Is it permissible to use yellowish, turbid water for purification (tahara)?

If the yellowness in the water is due to its location or container, it does not affect its purity, and it is permissible to use it for ablution (wudu') and ritual bathing (ghusl). Many scholars have explicitly stated that water that changes due to something inherent to it, or due to prolonged stagnation, or due to its settling, remains pure; because it is difficult to guard against such changes. Scholars have unanimously agreed on the permissibility of performing ablution with stagnant water (al-ma' al-ajin), which is water that has changed due to prolonged stagnation, as well as water that has changed in leather or copper vessels.
