There is no harm in donating the gallbladder after its removal to pathology laboratories at the Faculty of Medicine, as it serves a purpose and provides benefit. The general rule is that the gallbladder and anything removed from a human body should be buried in a clean place. As for organs with which a person died, or which separated from him at or after his death, they must be washed and prayed over, according to the preponderant opinion. A condition for donating them is that they be transferred to a person who will benefit from them. It is not permissible to donate them for dissection or scientific research. If some part of a deceased person is found, it should be washed and prayed over. There is no difference between a small or large amount if we are certain of their death. However, if an organ is amputated from a living person, it is not prayed over.
