What is the explanation of the supplication: "O Allah, I ask You for a pleasant life, a gentle death, and a return that is neither disgraceful nor scandalous"?

The supplication (Duaa'): "O Allah, I ask You for a pure life, a sound death, and a return that is neither disgraceful nor scandalous," was reported as a Prophetic Hadith (marfu' to the Prophet, peace be upon him). However, some scholars, like Al-Dhahabi and Al-Albani, have deemed it weak. Nevertheless, the weakness of a Hadith does not prevent one from supplicating with it, as its meaning is sound and upright, and its phrases are good. There is no harm in supplicating with it, but without believing in its authenticity from the Prophet (peace be upon him) or that it carries a special virtue. The meaning of "a pure life" (عيشة نقية) is a blessed and pleasing life, and "a sound death" (ميتة سوية) means a balanced death free from hardship. "A return that is neither disgraceful" (مردا غير مخز) signifies a return to the Hereafter devoid of humiliation, and "nor scandalous" (ولا فاضح) means that it will not expose one's misdeeds and flaws.
