Is it forbidden for a male doctor to deliver women when childbirth is difficult and there is fear of harm, given that what is forbidden for others may be permissible in cases of necessity or need, or is seeing the 'awrah (private parts) forbidden in itself?

Rulings are of two types: objectives and means. Objectives include Hajj and the prohibition of fornication, while means include traveling for Hajj and the prohibition of seclusion and looking. The prohibition of looking is among the prohibited means that are permissible due to necessity and overriding benefit, such as a doctor being allowed to look at what is necessary of a female patient's body when no female doctor is available, provided a mahram is present and there is no seclusion.
