What are the rewards, merits, and benefits mentioned in the Qur’an and Sunnah regarding marriage to a man who memorizes the Qur’an and whose dowry is the Qur’an?

Marrying a Hafiz (memorizer) of the Holy Quran is a virtue, as he embodies good qualities if he acts upon what he has memorized. However, this is conditional on the Hafiz acting upon the Quran, embodying its ethics, and being God-fearing in all his affairs. Such a memorization should be a point of consideration when contemplating marriage. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, married some of his companions based on their memorization of the Holy Quran. Al-Hafiz Ibn Hajar said: "It is possible that the marriage based on his memorization of the Quran means that he teaches her what he has memorized from it, and that becomes her dowry. Or, it is for the sake of his memorization of the Quran, so he marries her without a dowry, out of honor for him."
