What is the legal ruling regarding dealing with a husband who mistreats his wife and seeks to seize her inheritance, and is it permissible to keep the inheritance away from him?

The Sharia encourages the stability of marital life, especially with the presence of children, due to its positive impact on their upbringing and development. Caution must be exercised to prevent them from being exposed to marital problems. If the husband beats his wife and humiliates her, he has acted wrongly and violated the guidance of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him. The wife is advised to be patient, counsel him, pray for his righteousness, and seek assistance from wise individuals. The wife has the right to dispose of her legal inheritance, and she is not obliged to relinquish it to her husband unless she sees it as beneficial for the relationship. The husband has the right to marry another woman if he is able to be just, but he should not use this to threaten his wife. Preventing a wife from visiting her family is Islamically reprehensible, and the wife should counsel him. If he insists, she must obey him.
