What did the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, say regarding the ruling on abortion before birth due to a short umbilical cord?

The Muslim should anticipate reward from Allah Almighty for whatever calamities befall him, as he will be rewarded for everything that afflicts him if he anticipates it with a righteous intention. The Sunnah of the Prophet has indicated this: the affairs of the believer are all good. If prosperity befalls him, he is grateful, and that is good for him; and if adversity befalls him, he is patient, and that is good for him. Whatever toil, illness, worry, sorrow, harm, or grief afflicts him, even a thorn that pricks him, Allah expiates some of his sins thereby. There is no prophetic hadith specifically addressing the issue of a short umbilical cord.
