What are the contemporary applications of the business partnership (sharikat al-abdan), along with their references, and what is the Shafii school's evidence for prohibiting it?

The jurists differed on the ruling concerning Sharikat al-Abdan (partnership in physical labor or services). The majority of the Hanafis, Malikis, and Hanbalis permitted it, defining it as an agreement between two or more persons to perform work, and for the resulting wage or earnings to be shared between them. The Shafi'is, however, prohibited it due to gharar (excessive uncertainty), Jahl (ignorance regarding the outcome), and the absence of capital in such a partnership.
