Is memorizing the Qur'an better, or reading it in Ramadan?

Reciting the Quran in Ramadan is among the best deeds, for Ramadan is the month of the Quran. Gabriel used to review the Quran with the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, every night in Ramadan. It is recommended to increase the recitation and study of the Quran in Ramadan, and it is also recommended to complete its recitation. Both memorization and revision are considered recitation and more, and for the reciter, there are ten good deeds for every letter. The Sunnah has affirmed the revision of memorization, studying, and recitation. One should complete the recitation of the Quran at least once a month, and then do what is most suitable for their situation, whether it is increasing recitation, reviewing, or new memorization, while considering what is most beneficial for their heart; for the purpose of the Quran is its recitation, contemplation, being affected by it, and acting upon its teachings.
