What is the authenticity of the Hadith about the people of Paradise hearing glorification in exchange for their abandoning hearing singing in this worldly life?

The mentioned narration about depriving a listener of music from hearing pleasant sounds on the Day of Resurrection is from the narrations of the Shi'a, attributed to Ja'far al-Sadiq, and is not a prophetic hadith. There is a weak hadith with a similar meaning from Abu Hurayrah describing pleasant sounds in Paradise for those who abstained from music by worshipping Allah. Another weak narration from Ibn Abbas describes a tree in Paradise that emits pleasant sounds when worldly amusement is mentioned. There is no confirmed evidence that a listener of music will be deprived of pleasant sounds in the hereafter. However, this does not diminish the gravity of music, as Ibn al-Qayyim, may Allah have mercy on him, condemned music and described it as "the incantation of fornication, the root of hypocrisy, and the snare of Satan," and that preoccupation with it diverts one from the Qur'an and leads its practitioner to ruin.
