Is a wife entitled to know how her husband disposes of his money? Is she entitled to demand her approval of his disposal of his money with his family, friends, and the needy? Is her God-fearing conduct in her personal expenses a justification for her demand?

A mature, sane individual has the right to manage their money through legitimate means. His wife has no right to know what he owns or where he spends it; rather, her right upon him is maintenance according to what is customary. The piety of the wife does not justify her demanding to know all his expenditures or making her consent a condition for them. However, there is no objection to mutual understanding and consultation between the spouses regarding areas of spending.
