Is the menstruating woman who cannot prevent urine from coming out before reaching the bathroom, and finds it difficult to purify herself due to the cold weather, and places a vessel next to her bed because she cannot go to the bathroom every time, included in the الحديث (Hadith) which states that one of those who are tormented in the grave did not purify himself from his urine?

Our pure religion is built upon ease and the removal of hardship. Among the manifestations of ease is the permission for istijmar (using dry materials) to remove what exits from the two private parts. Thus, istinaja' (cleansing with water) is not obligatory, though it is preferable and better.

If it is difficult for you to go to the bathroom repeatedly and cleanse with cold water, you can prepare paper tissues or clean cloths for istijmar after urinating into the designated container. By doing so, you will have purified yourself from urine on your body and clothes.

Sheikh Muhammad Salih Al-Uthaymeen has issued a fatwa permitting istijmar with tissues, because the purpose is to remove impurity, whether with tissues, cloths, dust, or stones.
