Is it permissible for a father to interfere in all of his son's private matters, and is it permissible for me to use the tactic of dissimulation (Tawriya) with my hard-to-please father regarding my private affairs that do not harm him?

The questioner's eagerness to be dutiful to his parents is good, and it is a great act of worship. The father does not have the right to interfere in every small and large detail of his son's life, and the son is not obliged to obey his parents in everything they command, but rather in what benefits the parents and does not harm the son. The son has his independent personality, and he obeys his parents in matters where their obedience is obligatory. The questioner was correct in dealing gently with his father and striving to achieve what he desires without angering him, for in circumlocutions there is room to avoid lying.
