Is the Hadith concerning the jinn guarding the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) from Abu Lahab's wife authentic?

There is no evidence that any Jinn protected the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, from Abu Lahab's wife. Rather, what is established is that angels protected him by Allah's command, and Allah guaranteed the protection of His Prophet, as in His Almighty saying: "And Allah will protect you from the people."

When Abu Lahab's wife came looking for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, the angels concealed him from her, so she did not see him, as in the Hadith of Ibn Abbas: "An angel kept covering me until she left."

In another incident, Abu Lahab's wife came, thinking that the Prophet's devil had abandoned him, so the verses of Surat Ad-Duha were revealed: (By the morning brightness. And [by] the night when it covers with darkness. Your Lord has not taken leave of you, nor has He detested [you].)

Similarly, the angels protected him from Abu Jahl when he tried to step on his neck while he was praying. Abu Jahl retreated in terror, saying that between him and the Prophet was a trench of fire, a horror, and wings. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Had he come closer to me, the angels would have snatched him limb by limb." Then verses from Surat Al-Alaq were revealed.
