Is it permissible to be led in prayer by someone making up missed congregational prayers, in order to form a second congregation?

The matter is broad concerning one who missed the prayer with the Imam. If he prays alone, it is more cautious to avoid scholarly disagreement. If he is with a group, it is preferable for them all to pray together and not to pray with the latecomer (masbuq). If he prays with the latecomer and makes him his imam, there is no harm in that, and the prayer is valid. However, it is preferable for him to pray alone because many scholars do not consider valid the imamate of a latecomer who stood up to complete what he missed. But if he prays with him, there is no harm, just as if he joined a person praying alone and made him his imam, for congregational prayer is desired.
