Will the deceased be punished for expiatory oaths he intended to atone for, but no one from his family knew about?

Scholars have differed on whether the expiation for an oath is due immediately or deferred. Whoever dies owing an expiation and did not make a will concerning it has committed a sin. Therefore, it is obligatory for anyone who owes an expiation, a debt, Hajj, or a vow to make a will concerning it; because the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "It is not right for a Muslim who has something to bequeath to spend two nights without having his will written down with him." This is also because fulfilling trusts and obligations is a duty.
