What is your advice to a husband who abandons his wife in bed and refuses to reconcile with her, claiming that a man's desire takes precedence over a woman's?

The default is to have a good opinion of a Muslim, and this is especially true for spouses. A husband's ill-suspicion of his wife and abandoning her in bed without proof is an injustice. Postponing a woman's sexual desire is not permissible in Islamic law. A husband must engage in sexual intercourse with his wife according to her desire and his ability, and he is not allowed to neglect this. The husband is advised to be patient and make supplication, and to seek assistance from trustworthy individuals for reconciliation and advice. If the situation does not improve, the wife is permitted to seek divorce due to harm, while exercising deliberation and clarity. The husband is advised to fear Allah and treat his family kindly, in compliance with the Almighty's saying: "And live with them in kindness," and the Prophet's (peace be upon him) recommendation: "Treat women well."
