Is it permissible for a father to cede the institution to his male children, while compensating his female children with real estate instead of their share in the inherited institution?

A father must be equitable among his children in gift-giving, such that he gives the male the equivalent of the share of two females, just as in inheritance. This is the view of the majority of scholars, based on the Almighty's saying: "For the male, what is equal to the share of two females." Accordingly, if the value of what is given to each female is half of what is given to each male, then there is no harm. However, if it is less, it is not permissible unless with the consent of the female and her willing acceptance.
