Does the feeling of one's demise truly indicate its approach?

A person's feeling that their death is near does not necessarily mean its imminent occurrence. A sick person may recover after despairing, as happened with Sa'd ibn Abi Waqqas, who lived a long time after his severe illness during the Farewell Pilgrimage. It has been said: "How many a healthy person died without illness And how many a sick person lived for a period of time."
