Is it permissible for a lesbian woman who has been unable to change or connect with men to marry a gay man who has no desire for women, so that each may be a cover for the other and avoid sin?

To treat addiction to immorality, the root causes of temptation must be eliminated. The first step is to abandon other girls who practice lesbianism, stay away from them, and delete all means of communication with them. One must be patient with the psychological pain that may follow this, and occupy one's time with beneficial work or study. Experts indicate that six months of cutting off ties are sufficient to overcome addiction. This principle is supported by the hadith (definition) of the man who killed a hundred souls, where the scholar commanded him to leave the land of evil.

Moreover, Al-Nawawi and Ibn Hajar mentioned that the penitent should leave the places and people with whom they used to commit sin. The Quranic treatment, prior to the prescribed punishment for adultery, commanded confining women to their homes, which resembles a "treatment of severance." Ibn al-Qayyim believes that the cure lies in lowering the gaze and occupying the heart with what deters it from immorality.

As for planning to marry a homosexual man to commit immorality, this confirms and facilitates the sin. It is a betrayal of oneself and a deprivation of the means of repentance, and its consequences are severe in this world and the hereafter.

The call for the girl is to fear Allah, repent with sincere repentance, and to frequently supplicate and seek help from Allah. She should also try lawful marriage after her repentance, and ask Him for chastity and sufficiency through lawful means, instead of what is unlawful.
