Is the husband's saying to his wife, "As-salamu alaykum," considered one of the allusive phrases of divorce, and does divorce occur if the husband intends it thereby?

The phrase "Peace be upon you" (السلام عليكم) is considered a kinayah (allusive expression) by some scholars, such as the Shafi'is and Malikis, through which divorce can occur with intention, due to its indication of separation. Some scholars have gone further, ruling that divorce can be effected by any utterance intended for that purpose. Therefore, the statement of whoever says, "This wording is not among the allusive expressions of divorce by scholarly consensus," is incorrect.
